Multiple CD ripping and channel/bits per sample convertions works ok. I also added ACM codec support, so you can use the 'professional' Fraunhofer MP3 codec if you own it for MP3 encoding. Notice that this codec offers only CBR encoding, so LAME encoder is generally preferable. WMA encoding via DirectShow is in progress. Hopefully, version 0.7 will be released in late April 2003.

CDDA Ripper XP received a review/recommentation by Lockergnome. Now I'm developing the upcoming version 0.7 which will have new features like ripping from multiple CD's, WMA encoding (finally!), channel up/down mixing. I did a code cleanup which fixed some multithread and settings serialization issues and I also made (at some minimal point) the main window resizeable. Version 0.7 will be released in April 2003.

Version 0.66 has new features and many bug fixes. Now CDDA Ripper XP can optionally use an external ASPI manager (see the Downloads section for details). This may solve the error "No cd-roms found" which appears in some systems. In this release fixed a bug related with the internal CD player (for systems with two CD-ROM drives), a bug that causes the Ok and Cancel button to not be displayed in track settings, a bug that causes the genre to not be saved properly in ID3 tag. An attempt to fix the crash that occurs when trying to load the CDDB information of a CD title that has data tracks has been made.

Version 0.65 improves encoding speed by 20%, inactive commands appear grayed in menus, bug fixes (crash when a data CD is inserted and auto CDDB is enabled, the play button is pressed and no audio CD is inserted).
