CDDA Ripper uses the akrip32 library to extract digitally audio tracks from a CD-DA audio disk to the hard drive. It encodes raw PCM and WAV files into various formats:
- MP3: It uses the LAME encoder (v3.92) to produce MP3 compressed audio files.
- OGG: It uses the OGG/Vorbis encoder (v1.0 final) to produce OGG compressed audio files.
- WMA: Produces WMA (Windows Media Audio) compressed audio files.

CDDA Ripper uses samoe classes published in The Code Project for a nice and smooth user interface:
- SSL buttons for owner-draw flat command buttons
- SSL tab controls and subforms for property dialogs
- NewMenu for a new menu XP-rience!
